Through Our Eyes:
A Sibling Advocacy Campaign

Through Our Eyes is a storytelling and advocacy initiative created by Support Our Siblings to amplify the voices of teens who have siblings with disabilities.
Through this campaign, we will collect and share short stories from teens about their experiences growing up with a disabled sibling. These stories will explore themes such as:

Common misunderstandings about disability

Experiences with exclusion and barriers to inclusion

The realities of supporting a sibling with a disability

What true inclusion should look like in schools and communities

Selected stories will be shared through social media, presented in educational settings, and compiled into a digital publication that can be shared with schools, educators, and policymakers. If you have a disabled sibling and are interested in sharing your story, we invite you to participate!

Speak Up as a Glass Child: One Anonymous Question

Do you have a sibling with a disability? Support Our Siblings wants to hear from you. Share one thing you wish your parents understood about your experience. Your responses are completely anonymous, and even a single thought can help parents understand what it’s like to grow up as a glass child. Every voice matters, and your story will help shape future projects to support siblings like you.
